What are the hours of
the school day?
|
The
Preschool day begins at 9:00 AM and half-day programs end at
12:00 while full day classes end at 3:30 PM The campus is open
from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM for before and after class supervised
child care. Some campuses are open earlier or closed later to
accommodate the needs of the community. Please check with your
desired campus for the exact hours. |

Is there a charge for
Extended Care?
| No, there is no additional charge for our normal operating
hours of 7:00 AM to
6:00 PM

Are preschoolers assigned homework?
|
Regular
preschool does not have homework assignments. The campuses
offering a prekindergarten have a very simple homework policy
as part of the school preparedness program. |

Do
Preschool children receive a report card?
|
Pinecrest
issues a nonacademic progress report four times a year. |
|
|
Does
Pinecrest provide lunch or snack?
|
A
hot lunch is provided to all preschool children everyday. It
includes a nutritionally balanced meal and a serving of fresh
milk. Additionally, snacks are provided during the day. There
is no additional charge for food services. |

Are naps required in
preschool?
|
Yes,
a nap-time is required by California law and Pinecrest School
allots a two-hour schedule in the afternoon. Child who may not
need a daily nap have an afternoon quiet time. Sheet are
provided by Pinecrest School at no additional cost. Children
may bring a favorite blanket and comforting stuffed animal if
desired. |

Does the Preschool go on
any field trips?
|
Yes,
two or more age-appropriate field trips are scheduled for each
preschool class every year. |

How
will my child’s class placement be determined?
|
Children
are placed by their age. |
|

Are any specialty
courses taught?
|
All
Pinecrest Schools include Spanish instruction. Some of the
larger campuses also offer dance and gymnastics. |
|
|
Do you require parents
to volunteer their time at school?
|
No,
parents are not required to volunteer any time however, we
welcome parent participation in for special activities in
class and especially on field trips. |

|
Are
there any other fees?
|
This
is an annual registration fee which covers annualized school
expenses.
This is due upon enrollment and every September. There
are no fees for normal day care hours, lunches or snacks. |

|
How
is tuition paid?
|
Tuition
is due monthly. It is payable on the first of the month for
the month in advance. Some other schools charge every four
weeks and therefore receive 13 payments a year. We do not feel
that is fair and charge only 12 monthly payments per year. |
