Electives

Students will be choosing their electives on the first day of school, September 2, 2008,
during homeroom. Below is a list of electives offered for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
Electives will begin the second day of school. Information about the electives will be
given on the first day of school during the general assembly.

• Art Design
• Elementary Theater Arts          
• Play Production
• T.A. for teachers -8th grade ONLY
• Character Education - mandatory for 7th grade
• Study Skills – mandatory for 6th grade
• Sewing
• Scrapbooking  
• Newsletter                                              

Foreign Language

Foreign language is an important part of a student’s academic preparation for high school. Spanish will be integrated into the program for grades 6-8.

8th Grade:

10 hours of Community Service is Mandatory for 8th grade.  This must be completed put of school.  There must be proof of service and the hours must be completed by May 15th.  Community Service must be approved by the principal.
