It is the intention of Pinecrest Schools to provide a fully coordinated preschool program designed to foster the child's social and emotional growth and well-being. In addition, a sequential learning curriculum has been developed to fully prepare the child for kindergarten and elementary school.
Admissions
A personal interview with a preschool representative is required prior to admission to Pinecrest School. This interview will determine if the school is able to meet the needs of each individual child.
Every child will be admitted on his or her individual merits regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, or ancestry.
Children must be between 18 months - 3 years to be enrolled in the toddler center. Children do not have to be potty trained to attend the toddler program, however they must be potty trained by the age of three. Children attending the preschool must be at least two and one half years old, and fully potty trained. All children must be ambulatory, meaning they are able to leave the building unassisted.
Policies
Each day is planned to give your child experiences in both group and individual activities. A full-day program is planned from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. daily. A half-day program lasts until noon with children being picked up after lunch by 12:30 p.m.
The school is open and child care is provided from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All children must be signed in and out of the campus by a representative of the child.
Morning and afternoon snacks, as well as hot lunch are included on a daily basis. A menu is sent home with your child each month and is also posted on our web site.

Field trips are conducted occasionally. Parent permission slips are required for any child leaving campus under the school's control. Trip attendance is not mandatory.
Close personal contact is encouraged among the parent, director, and teacher. Parents may visit. We must ask that special care be taken during naptime. Grandparents, visitors, and prospective parents must check into the office prior to entering a classroom. Children may be dismissed from Pinecrest schools at any time when it is determined the school cannot meet the needs of the child. Such dismissal will be by oral conference with the custodial parent.
Pick Up Time: Please be sure to pick up your child before 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to be here on time, please make alternative arrangements and inform the office. After hours pick up charge is $1.00 per minute after 6:00 p.m. Children may be dismissed from Pinecrest after three, after-hours pick ups.
Tuition: Tuition is due and payable on the 1st of the month. Your payment must reach us by the 10th of the month, or a $35.00 service charge will be added to your account. The returned check fee is $35.00.
In order to control our classroom population, your child may only attend on the days of your chosen program. However, in the event we have special events, field trips or holiday parties, you may switch at no extra charge. If you wish to attend his/her regular program as well as the special occasion day, or an off scheduled day, you may do so at an additional charge. Extra full days and extra half days are available at $7.00 per hour, if space permits.
We sincerely hope that your child's experience at Pinecrest will be positive and rewarding.
