A 5th Grade Art Project
Teacher, Mrs. Tracey Jenkins

Japan's most revered folktale is about a peasant couple discovers a little boy inside apeach. In time, Momotaro (the peach boy) becomes a great warrior who sets off on an epic journey to deliver his people from an evil band of ogres. Themes of trust, risk, cooperation, and respect are spread throughout the story.

In this project, students used pastels to recreate a favorite part of the tale.
