Camp Pinecrest will keep your child busy all summer long with great field trips and summer camp activities! Campers are grouped according to the grade they will enter in September. Daily activities include swimming (on campus), games, computers, arts and crafts, go-carts, movies, weekly theme projects, and more! Campers may also choose from optional field trips (summer excursions). Camp hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Camp activities will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Enrollment
Camp tuition is $205.00 for 5-days a week, $155.00 for 3-days a week, or $1,805.00 for a full summer session. The registration fee for Pinecrest students is $45.00 per summer, and for NON-Pinecrest students it is $110.00 per summer. Transportation is $11 a day one-way and $13 a day round trip. We hire our camp staff based on the number of campers registered, there for no credit is given for missed days. There will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. Payment in full is due on the first of the month unless other arrangements are made in advance. All checks should be made payable to Pinecrest Schools. A signed enrollment form is a release which allows your child’s photo to be used in any promotional material including our website. Campers must be in good health. Allergies and other conditions that might affect health, safety and welfare of the camper must be noted on the Health History and Medical Authorization form provided.
Lunch
Lunch, freshly prepared on site, is $5.00 a day or $190 for the full
Summer session. An afternoon snack is also provided. If lunch is
brought from home, it must not contain perishables, as we cannot
provide refrigeration. Be sure to label all lunch boxes with your
child’s name.
Camp
Wear
All campers will be given ONE free Pinecrest camp shirt. Pinecrest camp shirts are required on all field trips. Additional camp shirts may be purchased from in the front office. Campers should wear comfortable, modest summer play clothes (cover shoulders for protection from the sun; caps or hats with visors are recommended), tennis shoes or other closed-toe shoes. We do not allow clothing that permits any underwear to show excessive display of skin (halter/crop tops, short shorts, etc.), or clothing that interferes with safety (e.g. exceptionally baggy or too long pants).
No open-toed sandals, slip-ons, platform shoes, or roller sneakers please!

Campers
Need to Bring
Campers should bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen inside a waterproof bag. All items should be clearly marked with first and last name. (Campers are responsible for their own belongings, including sunscreen and lip balm.) Full time campers may leave their swimsuit and towel at school Monday through Friday, but they must be taken home on Friday to be cleaned. Campers are not allowed to bring toys to campus except those designated on specialty days.
We discourage all participants and staff from bringing with them to school anything of value, such as jewelry, money, or expensive clothing. Children are not permitted to bring toys, Game Boys, CD players, Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh cards, or whatever else is the latest fad to school.
Pinecrest Schools Simi Valley maintains a Zero tolerance policy for weapons or anything that can be constructed as a weapon. We do not tolerate foul language or harassment of any sort. Violation of this is grounds for dismissal.
Campers
need to bring a morning snack. Afternoon snacks
are provided.
Pinecrest Schools Simi Valley Summer Camp Program
is not responsible for any articles of clothing, personal
belongings, or personal athletic equipment that are lost
or damaged by theft, fire, natural disaster or other occurrence.
All field trips are optional and each requires a signed parental consent form/release plus cash payment for any fee involved. Trip permission slips will be distributed in
advance and are also available in the office. Signed permission slips and
cash payment is due in the camp office no later than 6:00 p.m. on the day prior
to the trip. No verbal permissions will be accepted. Space is VERY limited on most trips. There must be a minimum of 25 campers signed up at least three days prior to the date, or the trip will be canceled.
PINECREST CAMP SHIRTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL TRIPS
It is mandatory that all campers attending
field trips must ride the bus. Campers may not be dropped
off or picked up by parents or guardians at any field trip
site. NO EXCEPTIONS! Pinecrest bus transportation for field
trips is provided for campers and staff only.
* Any behavior problem on
a trip may result in that child missing future trips.
Swimming
Daily recreation swimming is on
campus with Red Cross Certified Life Guards. Swim carnivals are a blast! There is also a swim team which will participate in the Annual Chlorine Bowl in August. We offer swimming
lessons
as well. Our certified Swim Instructors offer swim instruction
on a weekly basis all summer! Lessons are semi-private
(2 ormore students) at a fee of $150.00
per session. The sessions are offered as follows:
1st Session: July 1st - July 15th (Campus Closed July 4th)
(Make up lessons July 16th & 17th)
Payment for Session 1 due by 6/26
2nd Session: July 21st - August 5th (No lessons on 7/25 & 8/1)
(Make up lessons August 6th & 7th)
Payment for Session 2 due by 7/15
3rd Session: August 8th - August 21st
(Make up lessons August 22nd & 23rd)
Payment for Session 3 due by 7/30
Earlier lessons may be available for Pinecrest students. Payment for the first session is due with registration; payment for the second session is due July 15th; payment for the third session is due July 30th. Swim lesson forms are in the office. Sign up early to ensure your choice of weeks.
Camp
Rules
Pinecrest campers are expected to be courteous, well behaved and respectful of property and the rights of other campers’ and camp staff. Repeated misbehavior may result in expulsion from camp. Your signature on the enrollment form indicates your understanding of and agreement with all of the foregoing rules and policies.
