6th Grade Spanish
Teacher, Senora Maria Miller
In this project, which was completed in class, each
student built a Spanish town, known as a 'pueblo.'
They included in their towns a butcher shop, bakery,
school,
park, movie theater, pharmacy, and several residential
homes, each labeled appropriately in Spanish. In addition, each student wrote a description, in English and Spanish, about their pueblo. Visit the links below to see the students' pueblos and to read one example of the students' Spanish/English descriptions.
¡Hola! Me llamo Gustavo.
Sinceramente,
Gustavo
Hi. My name is Zach. I live in a pueblo called Jaruco. We have a pharmacy, a butcher shop, a bakery, a church, a school, and many houses. The houses are small and brown. There are many people living in each house. In the center of town, we have a park. There are many trees in the park. In the morning I go to the bakery to get bread for breakfast. Next, I go to school from 8:00 until 3:30. After school, I do my chores and go to the butcher shop. After dinner, I go by myself to the church. I also pick up medicine for my brother, Owen. Every once in a while, I might go my friends Emilio, Roberto, Jorge, Mario, Pepe and Benjamin. Yes, I live in a poor town, but I am happy.
Sincerely,
Gustavo
