What is the affect of electromagnetic fields and different color lights on Algae?
Hypothesis
Different color light or magnetic
fields will strongly affect algae growth. Algae
will grow best under red and will be affected by the strongest magnetic field.
Abstract
I found that algae
will grow best under red and blue light and not as well
under green or ultra violet. My results showed that
different colors of light encouraged different types of
algae. Red and blue encouraged those with chlorophyll.
Based on my work, I don't believe that there was any
effect of magnetic fields on algae growth. My hypothesis
was half correct- the color of light did strongly influence
the growth rate of algae, but magnetic fields seem to have no affect on my experiment.
