Pinecrest Schools Van Nuys Honored with
Steve Allen "Excellence in Education" Award

Each year The Valley Economic Alliance recognizes San Fernando Valley schools, educators or students that have really "gone the extra mile" to make a difference in the quality and importance of education in our Valley communities. The award salutes nationally recognized achievements in the education field.

The Alliance honored Pinecrest Schools Van Nuys with this prestigious award. It recognizes San Fernando Valley schools, educators students that achieved National Recognition this school year. The Steve Allen "Excellence in Education" Award is named for long-time Valley reside and legendary entertainer Steve Allen, who valued learning and spent much of his later years focused on speaking and writing about the importance of education.

Campus Director and Pinecrest Schools President Jeri Dye Lynch and Executive Director Lisa Glenn attended a Board Meeting of the Economic Alliance on May 27, 2009 to receive this award.
