Mission Statement
It is the intention of the Pinecrest Preschools to provide a fully coordinated preschool program designed to foster the child's social and emotional growth and well-being. In addition, a sequential learning curriculum will be developed to fully prepare the child for kindergarten and elementary school.
Admission Policy and Optional Services
A personal interview with a preschool representative is required prior to admission to Pinecrest Preschool. This interview will determine if the school is able to meet the needs of each individual child.
Each child will be admitted on his or her individual merits regardless of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry. Starting preschool all children must be between the ages of two and a half through five years of age and toilet trained (Preschool only). All children must be ambulatory meaning they are able to leave a building unassisted.
Children entering the program will be placed according to their emotional maturity and chronological age and will be moved to subsequent groups on the same basis.
Each day is planned to give your child experiences in both group and individual activities. A full-day program is provided from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. daily. A half-day program lasts until noon, with children being picked up after lunch before 12:15 p.m.

Field trips are conducted occasionally. Parent's slips are required for any child leaving the campus under the school's control. Trip attendance is not mandatory.
Parents will be requested to provide the following items: one change of clothing, including underwear, slacks and a shirt or dress to be kept in the child's personal locker. If your child attends full day he or she will need a small blanket for rest time. These items will be sent home for laundering as needed.
Optional services available at some campuses include dance lessons,
transportation to and from school. For half-day students we have extended days
available and for part-time students extra days, either half or full.
Visiting is allowed by parents at any time without prior permission.
We ask that special care be taken during nap time. Grandparents, visitors,
and prospective clients must have permission from the office prior to entrance
into a classroom.
Children may be dismissed from Pinecrest Schools at any time when it is determined that the School can not meet the needs of the child. Such dismissal will be by oral conference with the custodial parent.
Please be sure to pick up your child before 6:30 p.m. If you are unable to be there on time, please make alternative arrangements and inform the office. Late pick up charge is $1.00 PER MINUTE. Children may be dismissed from Pinecrest after three late pick ups.
We sincerely hope that your child's experience at Pinecrest Preschool will be positive and rewarding. Close personal contact between and among parents, directors, and teachers is essential. |
