Gratitude
Besides going through something I never had planned, I have to mention all the things I am grateful for. Honestly, with joy I can say I appreciate SO much the little things in life. Or not little, but the things we do not see when we are busy with life, with bills, with work, with traffic, with being overweight, with stress, and bills to pay and busy with ways to make more money because that is the way to success that society taught us. Even though success doesn’t really mean money or popularity. Or happiness.
I am grateful for dialysis, because it keeps me alive while I keep hoping to have a healthy kidney donated to me.
I am grateful because I am a candidate for a transplant and I am on the list along with hundreds more waiting.
I am grateful for the unconditional love of my family and Angie, for good friends that really care. I am grateful for Adam for his support.
I am grateful because I can go to some soccer games and I can walk, drive, laugh, talk, communicate, write, and paint.
I am grateful because I have faith.
